• Have a valid phone number for verification

4. The Quest System

sideq. is built around daily quests - challenges that encourage you to be creative and connect with friends. When participating in quests:

• You may receive system quests (created by sideq.) and friend quests (created by other users)
• Quest submissions may include photos, videos, and captions
• Completing quests consistently builds your streak
• You can earn achievements based on your activity
• Your submissions may be visible to your followers and in discovery feeds based on your privacy settings

5. User Content

Your Ownership

You retain ownership of the content you post on sideq., including quest submissions, comments, messages, and profile information.

License to sideq.

By posting content, you grant sideq. a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide license to use, display, reproduce, modify, and distribute your content in connection with operating and improving the service. This license continues until you delete your content or account.

Content Responsibility

You are solely responsible for the content you post. You represent that you have all necessary rights to share your content and that it does not violate any third-party rights.

6. Prohibited Conduct

You agree not to:

• Post illegal, harmful, threatening, abusive, harassing, defamatory, or otherwise objectionable content
• Post sexually explicit or pornographic content
• Harass, bully, or intimidate other users
• Impersonate others or misrepresent your identity
• Post content that infringes intellectual property rights
• Spam, advertise, or promote products without authorization
• Collect or harvest user data without consent
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to accounts or systems
• Use bots, scripts, or automated tools to access the service
• Circumvent security measures or exploit vulnerabilities
• Interfere with the proper functioning of the service

7. Messaging

sideq. provides direct messaging features. When using messaging:

• Messages may include text, images, videos, and voice messages
• You can share quest submissions with other users via messages
• Message read receipts indicate when recipients have viewed your messages
• All messaging conduct must comply with our prohibited conduct rules

8. Reporting and Content Moderation

We strive to maintain a safe and positive community. You can report content or users that violate these terms. We reserve the right to:

• Review and investigate reported content
• Remove content that violates these terms
• Issue warnings to users
• Suspend or terminate accounts for violations

We are not obligated to monitor all content but may do so at our discretion.

9. Privacy Settings

sideq. offers privacy controls:

• Public accounts: Your profile and content are visible to all users
• Private accounts: Only approved followers can see your content
• You can block users to prevent them from viewing your content or contacting you

10. Intellectual Property

The sideq. name, logo, app design, and all related trademarks, service marks, and intellectual property are owned by HK MEDIA GmbH. You may not use our intellectual property without prior written consent.

11. Third-Party Services

sideq. may integrate with third-party services such as Apple Sign-in. Your use of these services is subject to their respective terms and privacy policies. We are not responsible for third-party services.

12. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account at any time for:

• Violations of these terms
• Illegal or fraudulent activity
• Conduct harmful to other users or the service
• Extended periods of inactivity
• Any other reason at our discretion

You may delete your account at any time through the app settings. Upon termination, your right to use the service ceases immediately.

13. Disclaimer of Warranties

sideq. is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied, including but not limited to:

• Implied warranties of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose
• Warranties that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure
• Warranties regarding the accuracy or reliability of content

14. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, HK MEDIA GmbH and its affiliates, officers, employees, and agents shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of profits, data, or goodwill, arising from your use of sideq. Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months prior to the claim, if any.

15. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless HK MEDIA GmbH from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses arising from your use of sideq., your content, or your violation of these terms.

16. Governing Law

These Terms of Service are governed by the laws of Germany. Any disputes arising from these terms or your use of sideq. shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Germany.

17. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms of Service from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by posting the updated terms in the app and updating the "Last updated" date. Your continued use of sideq. after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
